Sympathy Card...This year I've sadly needed many

Sympathy cards are always a hard card for me to make.  Quite often I try to just make up some pretty cards, leave them blank and then fill them in as needed with a sentiment.  A friend of mine lost her father in law a few days ago.  She's a special friend so I wanted to make up a special card for her.  I wanted to make something that her husband might like as well.  So this is what I came up with.  Let me know what you think.  Patterned paper is from Gina K Designs.  Cardstock was from my stash.  Round scalloped was done with a Recollections punch.  Plain circles done with Recollections punch.   Ship is from.  Label is Spellbinders.  Sentiment stamp is Close To My Heart.

Thanks Nancy. The couple that I sent it to really loved it. I think I need to make up a few to have on hand. Quite often it's hard to make them when you've just received terribly shocking news that someone has passed away.

Hi Marianne, I'm cruising blogs of those who are following my blog and read this post. I know that I've had more need for sympathy cards this past year, too. Growing older isn't for sissies...and I didn't realize how true that saying was! Lovely sympathy card and it's so difficult to make these that I've run to the drug store to buy them. It's just easier on my heart to NOT make one. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2015. Hugs, Gail (aka Lacey Lassy)
